My Story

Hi. My name is Edwina and I am an Australian living in the UK.

Life has been interesting for me, but like everyone, fraught with some big challenges. 

Having experienced chronic pain all my life, my ability to work in the fields I am qualified in were not possible. Instead I spent my time taking care of my family as best I could, raising two children and settling us into new countries much of the time, waiting perhaps for a time when I would be well enough and able enough, to “re-enter” the world.

Turning my mind to how I wanted to spend the next chapter of my life, I was in the midst of settling into the UK and our new home, enjoying the process of decorating and finding treasures that aligned with who we are as people. 

But I came up short on lampshades time and again. I searched endlessly for vibrant, sophisticated and stylish lampshades to elevate my home that truly meant something to me. 

Out of this, Luxe Isle was born.
